THERE WAS NO RESPONSE TO AN UPDATE REMINDER IN 2017 SO THERE IS NO UPDATE.

After surgery in early 2000, Gleason was upgraded to 7 (four plus three with 70% grade four). Was organ confined and a small tumor. Undetectable PSA for 11 years then recurrence happened over the next 2 years with doubling time of around 7 months. After PSA got to 1.0, had a C11-acetate scan which found two bone mets (one in C7 and the other near the hip) which were successfully treated with SBRT; the scan and also found possible pelvic node involvement. The latter was confirmed in the spring of 2005. In the summer of 2015 I was treated with a four month Lupron shot and 68 Gy by IMRT delivered to the pelvic area. Too early to be sure, but since my last PSA was 0.00 I am hopeful for a long-term remission. No doctor will give me a prognosis at this point in time.
