His initial treatment choice was External Beam Radiation+ADT and his current treatment choice is None. Here is his story.

THERE WAS NO RESPONSE TO AN UPDATE REMINDER IN 2019 SO THERE IS NO UPDATE.

Diagnosed earlier this year with metastasised prostate cancer. Seen programme tonight after being informed through Cancer Charity.

Seem to be in the don't really know much stage. Still working but get very tired sometimes and lose concentration. Just going on holiday tomorrow for a break.

PSA level now down to 1.0 after getting injections.

Cheers

Richard

UPDATED

February 2011

June 2010 received one month radiotherapy on my prostate which went well.

Early 2011 had PSA checked and now down to 0.2 and advised by Oncologist not required to see him for 12 months unless any problems arise before them.

Still living with a positive attitude to life. Hormones side effects are tiredness and aching joints and the famous hot sweats.

Take care Richard S.

UPDATED

UPDATED

August 2015

Recent bone scan showing spread to spine in top of spine shoulder blade section and lower sections. On trial of Enzaludamite pre Chemo with stage two when increase in PSA pr spread then Chemo and either Enzaludamite or placebo.

UPDATED

January 2016

PSA rising from 14.5 to 19.5 and continual pain in back and neck areas. Waiting for appointment for radiotherapy to back and then start Chemo docetaxel with enzalutamide beginning March.

UPDATED

February 2017

2016 saw 6 sessions on Chemo with Shingles in between to help things along the way (Not). Only managed 6 sessions out of 10 as struggled with side effects. End of 2016 saw me start Zoladronic acid and calcium supplements and start of 2017 now sees me with 6 sessions of Radium 223 (1 Down). Side effects minimal just now. PSA still rising slowly but staying positive. Body aches all the time especially my back and hips.

UPDATED

March 2018

Still here. I was told October 2017 that there are now no additional hormone treatments etc., so now down to palliative care only.
