Clint B and julie live in Washington, USA. He was 63 when he was diagnosed in April, 2022. His initial PSA was 5.00 ng/ml, his Gleason Score was 7b, and he was staged T3b. His initial treatment choice was Surgery (Retropubic Prostatectomy + ADT) and his current treatment choice is External Beam Radiation+ADT (Proton Beam with ADT). Here is his story.
Hello, I have had a biopsy, and have been referred to a prostate surgeon at Fred Hutch in Seattle, Washington. I see him on 9/22/2025 to talk about a laparoscopic prostate removal. I choose removal to keep radiation in my pocket, as I was told that if I have radiation they cannot do the surgery later or more radiation, will know more after the appointment. I have had four hernia surgeries in the past so I have a lot of scar tissue, and I'm tired of doctors in my lower abdomen. Doing nothing is not an option I want to explore. I am very scared about the other options and the side effects, and think I need some support from men that have gone through what I am going to be going through, thanks. Hello, I originally had decided on surgery, but since I've had 4 hernia surgeries in my past, and after consulting with surgeons and radiation specialists at Fred Hutch Cancer Center in Seattle WA which is a horrible 3 hr drive from my house in Bellingham WA and can have the beam radiation therapy done 5 minutes from my house i've decided to go that way. On December 22 2025 i started the hormon therapy with orgovyx pills for 6 months, december 30th i had the barrigel placement,i get an mri on 1/2/ 26 and get my beam therapy mapping done on 1/6/26 at North Cascades Cancer Center, so my journey has began, I will have updates to follow, thanks for all the support, I know I am not alone, Clint B
