I just want to correct my original post about my stage of cancer namely T1c and not T1a. I decided that all my controversial results are due to the probability that there was residue prostate tissue left behind. Until proven otherwise, I am not going to be treated with radiation of hormones. My current PSA is now 1.19. I doubt that it will ever decline to the ultimate 0.02 mark. I just have to keep my cool and not get nervous.

My urologist told me today that he regrettably left some prostate tissue behind in my body during the prostatectomy.

This explains now everything.

Treatment is now active surveillance. Hope I can be of some help to someone,sometime.

MRI showed prostate tissue left behind during surgery. Luckily no signs of any cancer.

PSA value 9 months post-op 7.44

Due to the fact that prostate tissue was left behind during the robotic radical prostatectomy it was decided to take a 10 day antibiotic course to see if prostatitis plays a role. Hope and pray it is the case.

After a shocking PSA of 7.44 9 months after a robotic radical prostatectomy, I received antibiotic anti-inflammatory treatment for 10 days the PSA; dropped to 6.7. The increase from 1.19 at 6 months post-op to this PSA values is worrying me. Remember no cancer was ever anywhere found except for the original biopsies at the beginning and then 18 months later.

Used anti-inflammatory drugs for another 10 days. PSA drop from 6.44 to 6.04

My story ended last with a PSA; of 6.04 after another 10 days of using voltaren. I waited another 2 weeks in which I took no medicine, did a PSA test with a result of 5.32. I visited the oncologist yesterday and told him my whole story. He told me that because both peripheral zones are still inside me, the normal rules does not apply for my situation. Meaning PSA values are worthless for me except if there is a clear increase over three tests. The only way for me to surely know if there is cancer to react with radiotherapy is by DRE.

Urologist still wants me to receive radiotherapy. I still refuse. I shall react only when there is clear evidence of cancer left inside me.

Got a MRI on 12 Oct. No sign of cancer. Parts of postero-lateral lobes were visible on scan, suggesting that PSA will never be zero. Urologist still advice me to go for radiotherapy and I still refuse. Feel still healthy and fit.

I am still alive with no ill effects. My PSA is still between 5 and 6. I still refuse radiotherapy mainly because no cancer had been found in my dissected prostate. In 2 weeks time am I going to take another PSA test.

Last year this time my PSA showed an increase from 1.24 to 7.44 in 3 months time. LUCKILY it is now down to 4.66 and this decrease without any treatment.

Due to the fact that the mid part of the prostate (central lobe) sometimes grows into the bladder wall and the possibility that the urologist with Da Vince prostatectomy can overlook it, some prostate residue tissue may be left behind so that the PSA tests can be confusing.

Very glad may PSA dropped from 4.54 to 3.98 in a 6 month time interval. Remember I had a radical prostatectomy during April 2014. However, the urologist suspected that my prostate enlarged into my bladder wall which he did not not attend to during the Da Vinci Robotic prostatectomy.

Did PSA test last Wednesday. Rised from 3.98 to 5.7. Urologist is satisfied. I am trying to run each second day 6km.

Had a PET scan on 30 August 2017; No cancer anywhere.

Still refusing radiotherapy. Still able to work hard and to run.

Me and my urologist accepted my PSA to be normal when it fluctuated between 4 and 6 since a median lobe was left behind during the radical prostatectomy surgery. Three months ago a prostate health index test was done to me. The accepted normal value is 4.0 but mine was 150. My PSA was at that time 6.2. The follow-up MRI was normal and detected no signs of any cancer. The PET scan during August 2017 showed no signs of cancer and therefore my urologist told me that I am clean.

Results from MRI scan of total body is still negative.

Still able to do hard fisical work

My urologist accept now my normal PSA lies between 3 and 7

Still able to do physical work. Still using cialis 5 mg when needed.
